Well-connected VanHan wins luxury of Palmer backing

Palmer Capital is backing a new luxury central London residential agency, set up by two of the capital’s brightest and best-connected young agents.

The real estate venture capital and fund management firm has taken a one-third stake in VanHan, which is run by Giles Hannah and Thomas van Straubenzee and is the 10th company in its stable.

Hannah and Van Straubenzee are leading London residential agents and have build up a network of very wealthy clients, sovereign wealth funds, private banks and law firms. They were introduced to Palmer Capital through Rory Penn, who is a friend of the pair and who joined Palmer Capital in 2009.
